The implementation of the region's investment program in 2023 was discussed in Vitebsk
The main task, as emphasized by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, is to analyze the progress of the investment program implementation and how the decisions of the Regional Council of Deputies are being fulfilled.
As a positive example, Vladimir Terentyev cited the construction of a kindergarten in Miory, which was built to a high standard and on time. The task of the deputies is precisely to focus the construction industry on the implementation of the investment program for 2024, emphasized the head of the deputy corps.
The 2023 investment program included 325 facilities with a total cost of 256 million rubles. These facilities encompass engineering infrastructure, bridge structures, housing, land reclamation systems, agricultural facilities, and social facilities, such as the Polotsk Cadet School, the kindergarten in Miory, and a dormitory for medical workers in Dubrovno, among others.
Was everything accomplished?
– We always plan to do slightly more than we can. Perhaps something was not completed, so we will finish what has been started and implement what was planned, – emphasized Yuri Vyzhikovsky, Head of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee.
It should be noted that out of the entire list of facilities, only 50 related to water supply and sanitation. General Director of UP "Vitebskobvodokanal" Alexey Khvalko emphasized that 28 iron removal stations have been commissioned in rural settlements, thanks to which about 6,000 citizens have gained access to high-quality drinking water. Work is underway to reconnect settlements (four in 2023) to neighboring ones where water of normative quality is available. Thanks to this, the indicator of 99.4% of the population being provided with high-quality drinking water from the centralized water supply system in villages and settlements has been achieved. All allocated funds of the investment program have been utilized.
