In Vitebsk, lights will be lit on more than 60 New Year trees simultaneously

More than 60 New Year trees located on the central streets and major venues in the districts of Vitebsk will light up with festive lights simultaneously on December 17.

The lighting of festive illuminations on the trees in the city districts will precede the procession of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka and the lighting of the main regional tree on Victory Square.

This year, the procession itself has been moved to a later time so that as many citizens as possible can become spectators and participants of the event.

According to the Vitebsk state enterprise "Gorsvet", scheduled repairs of the illumination are currently being completed, as well as additional decoration of trees on the central streets, so that the entire city will shine with lights on December 17.

From the same day, cultural and sports and entertainment events and programs will begin on all concert and open-air venues, and recreation areas. Most of them will last until January 14.

A surprise for young spectators of the New Year's interactive musical and theatrical entertainment program "Neznaika. Adventures" will be a laser show and a soap bubble show.

For the first time this year, a Christmas tree will also be installed on the central open-air city ice rink near the Summer Amphitheater, and musical laser lighting will be turned on.
