The regional forum of young specialists was held in Vitebsk, Orsha, Glubokoye and Novopolotsk
The hospitable hosts, offering topics for constructive dialogue, presented their region, achievements of recent years, as well as modern technologies skillfully tested in the Glubokoye region. And one of the first sensations: cows at one of the dairy farms of the agricultural enterprise "Seltsy" tried on smart collars with radio modules for remote monitoring of their main health indicators.
According to Vladimir Pashukevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food, the success of the pilot digital project can be accurately assessed in a year, but specialists are already seeing a clear positive effect.
The collar is equipped with a built-in sensor and special software. Employees of the agricultural enterprise remotely monitor the health status of animals in real-time, in particular, they can determine the optimal time of estrus in cows.
– Similar technologies are used in many countries around the world. The digitalization of agriculture is a step into the future, – emphasized Vladimir Genrikhovich. – The introduction of modern knowledge allows agricultural workers to increase labor productivity, reduce costs, and thereby increase profits. Today, about 1.9 thousand people work at the agricultural enterprises of the Glubokoye district. Five years ago, there were 900 more. We focus on modernizing production. Everything comes down to the fact that one person can perform a larger volume of work. In particular, the reconstruction of the farm in the "Konstantinov Dvor" enterprise is currently underway.
The forum in Glubokoye was attended by young men and women from six districts, primarily specialists from agricultural enterprises. Therefore, the participants listened with interest to the specifics of working on robotic farms, the social package, including housing provision, and leisure options in rural areas.
The conversation smoothly transitioned into the sphere of culture. Lyudmila Karnilovich, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture, and Youth Affairs of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, told the forum participants about the unique traditions of the lake region, its historical and cultural heritage, with a special emphasis on seven sites included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the country.
"The meeting of young specialists in Glubokoye is becoming a good tradition," noted Pyotr Gnutenko, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee. "It was here, three years ago, that the forum started, being one of the first in the republic. It serves as a platform for good creative ideas."
This year, the format of the youth event was changed for obvious reasons, but this made it even more interesting.
The forum took place in four cities with a difference of several days. In total, over 120 young men and women representing various fields of activity participated. In Glubokoye, the focus was more on agriculture, while in Vitebsk and Novopolotsk, it was on the social sector. In Orsha, the emphasis was on the successful development of industry.
In addition, in each of the declared regions, the events were also divided into thematic platforms. In particular, in the Gluboksky district, some participants visited SUP "Mnyuto", where a workshop on personal and professional development of young specialists in modern conditions was held. The second group of specialists, staying at the agro-estate "V 4 Dubakh", learned the basics of agritourism and farming. Young enterprising farmers shared their experiences with them.
Assisting the moderator of the first platform, a young specialist from the Postavsky district, Ekaterina Kozel, listed 10 key steps for a successful business idea startup.
Enterprising people need the following components: a good team, a correctly set goal, initial capital, self-education, advertising, love for the chosen field, a competent business plan, information support, and the charisma of the leader. Another important point is not to be afraid to take risks.
And Nikita Yadrevsky from the agricultural enterprise "Chernevichi" of the Gluboksky district listed 10 main personal qualities without which it is difficult to become a professional.
According to the forum participants, the most important qualities are self-confidence, purposefulness, initiative, communication skills, responsibility, honesty, punctuality, neatness, teamwork, adaptability, and taking care of one's health.
