A new table tennis hall has been opened in Vitebsk
Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov thanked everyone who participated in the creation of this wonderful hall and expressed confidence that many young tennis players will join the national team and compete on the international stage. And those who do not reach great heights should not be discouraged, because table tennis can be played throughout life. The game, which develops agility and accuracy, and provides excellent physical fitness, is included in amateur-level spartakiads.
Chairman of the Belarusian Table Tennis Federation Alexey Prokopovich noted that very recently, even Minsk did not have such a hall with professional tables.
The right to the first serve was granted to the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Alexey Geroev, and the return to Vyacheslav Durnov.
Currently, more than 130 children are engaged in table tennis at Children and Youth Sports School No. 8. The new hall provides an opportunity not only to hold competitions at the city, regional, and national levels but also for a larger number of interested individuals to try their hand at this dynamic sport.
