В Витебске открыли новый завод по производству ветеринарных препаратов
New veterinary drug manufacturing plant "Belcarolin" opened in Vitebsk.

Belcarolin LLC has been engaged in the scientific development of veterinary drug formulations and the creation of treatment regimens for various diseases of cattle, pigs, horses, and small domestic animals for 30 years. Since 2004, it has been manufacturing veterinary drugs. Currently, its production portfolio includes medicines of over 70 types: anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic, antibacterial, antihistamine, hormonal, vitamins, ointments, and sanitary and hygiene products. This year alone, the company has registered 12 new drugs and continues to work in this direction.

Over the past eight years, Belcarolin LLC has been implementing the innovative project "Construction of a digitized plant for the production of innovative veterinary drugs of the 'Green Line – Alternative to Antibiotics' series, taking into account GMP system requirements." The project received investments of 31.5 million rubles and created 30 jobs. The enterprise, with a total staff of over 120 people, has moved into a specially constructed building.

At the new production site, operations are carried out in accordance with the EAEU GMP certificates for sterile and non-sterile production. In Belarus, 16 out of 45 veterinary drug manufacturers hold such a certificate.

– This is a new high-tech production facility, – noted the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, thanking the team for the energy and perseverance with which they implement new projects. – This is a contribution to the development of our entire region and the country as a whole.

The plant has practically reached its design capacity. Its products are in demand among domestic consumers – agricultural enterprises and veterinary clinics. While meeting their needs, the company exports more than 50% of its drugs, but aims to increase the share of export shipments to 70% of total revenue.

For this purpose, several months ago, Belkarolin began implementing an import substitution investment project to organize the production of veterinary drugs in the form of sterile injectable solutions in accordance with the requirements of the EAEU GMP. This will allow expanding the range of manufactured products and increasing the production volumes of veterinary drugs. The project cost is 16 million rubles, and the implementation period is until 2026.
