The largest McDonald's in Belarus has opened in Vitebsk

В Витебске открылся самый большой в Беларуси МакДональдс

McDonald's Corporation, which has covered almost the entire world with its fast-food chain, has also reached Vitebsk. Yesterday, a grand opening ceremony was held for the first regional fast-food restaurant in Belarus, which has now become the largest facility of Belarusian McDonald's in terms of area (about 1 thousand sq. m).

According to information provided to "Vitebskiye Vesti" by the investing company, over 35 billion rubles were invested in its construction. The project chosen as a basis is similar to the Minsk restaurant in the Uruchye microdistrict, improved and refined to provide greater convenience and comfort for visitors. The two-story building is equipped with innovations that are being used by the company in Belarus for the first time. Vitebsk residents will be the first to see and appreciate the transformable room for birthday parties. Thanks to the possibility of changing the decor, the room can be converted into a business lounge for corporate events. New design solutions are used in the outdoor children's playground. An additional order window has been created at the "McDrive" for serving customers in cars. Innovations have also been implemented in the production process, particularly in the organization of beverage and dessert production, which helps to reduce customer service time.

The company's decision on corporate development in the regions

"McDonald's" accepted several years ago. Vitebsk turned out to be the first thanks to the great interest of the regional authorities in the presence of such a facility, for which an investment agreement was concluded and a site meeting the standards of "McDonald's" was offered. "We have fully fulfilled our obligations under the investment agreement and even exceeded them, as Vitebsk was the first to implement a number of innovations related to the introduction of new equipment, logistics, and IT technologies," the company noted.

Upon project implementation, more than 170 jobs will be created in the future. There are many people willing to work for the company, primarily due to the opportunity for professional growth, so there were no problems with recruitment. Staffing took place in two stages. Initially, a team of six restaurant managers was formed. All of them are from Vitebsk, have higher education and work experience, and speak foreign languages. Over six months, the company invested more than 600 million rubles in their training in corporate business standards. Subsequently, the restaurant staff was recruited. For the first time in the training process for such specialists, the company used e-learning modules.
