A new consultative polyclinic for children is opening in Vitebsk
During this time, the powerful integrated children's health center, unusual for domestic healthcare, which includes a clinical hospital, 6 city children's polyclinics, a regional consultative polyclinic, and the "Raduga" children's rehabilitation and health camp in the Liozno district, has already marked several significant dates.
A large three-story therapeutic building has been commissioned here, as well as a new milk kitchen with complex electrical equipment – it individually provides specialized nutrition for all infants up to one year old, as well as intensive care patients. Over the two years of the center's existence, eight buildings and departments have been reconstructed and renovated here. The number of operating rooms and admission units has increased, which has made it possible to master and streamline complex high-tech operations, including those of a neurosurgical profile – for congenital defects and birth injuries. Over 2.5 million rubles have been invested in the modernization and equipping of the country's first children's health center during this time. The greater part of this amount was allocated under the regional investment program, and the medical staff earned and saved the rest of the money themselves.
The new consultative polyclinic now receives about 300 children daily from all regions of the oblast. In addition to experienced pediatricians, about 20 narrow specialists work here. Yuri Derkach, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and head of the healthcare department of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, announced on the eve of the grand opening ceremony that the series of pleasant holidays will continue – a new outpatient clinic for children is already being built in the Bilevo microdistrict of Vitebsk, and 3 more departments will be repaired at the regional clinical hospital.
laboratory unit. A dedicated outpatient dental unit will also be established here, where children will be able to have their teeth treated under anesthesia without fear.
