In Vitebsk, potential contestants for the song international competitions of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival were selected.
In Vitebsk, the regional stage of the national selections for the international competitions of the jubilee XXX International Festival of Arts was held. 28 young vocalists and 14 adult contestants competed for the right to represent our region in the next stage.
The jury evaluated intonation and purity of performance, stage image, dramaturgy, and, of course, the integrity of the image.
– Unfortunately, there are moments when a good vocal performance is overshadowed by poor choreography.
I would like to wish those who prepare contestants to pay attention to absolutely everything. As for children, they should be given material that corresponds to their age and vocal strength. When a performer understands what they are singing about and believes in it themselves, then this sincerity and authenticity captivate the jury and the audience, – shared her impressions, the chairperson of the jury, director of the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, Elena Podolyak.
– The children showed different levels of preparation. Some reached a high professional standard, while others still have potential for growth. There were several absolute leaders among both children and adults who can compete with the best singers in the republic, – noted a member of the jury, chairman of the "Conducting" cycle commission of the Vitebsk Music College named after I. I. Sollertinsky, head of several vocal ensembles, Alexander Suvorov.
The jury selected ten vocalists who will represent the Vitebsk region in the second stage of the national selection. In the XIXIn the International Children's Music Competition "VITEBSK-2021", Alexandra Ventskus, Ulyana Golynya, Margarita Derbenyova, Veronika Martsinkevich, Nadezhda Romanovskaya will continue the competition.
Nelli Kazaryan, Andrey Kot, Oksana Lovchaya, Diana Molyavko, Anastasia Pristavko will compete for the right to represent Belarus at the XXX International Pop Song Performers Competition "Vitebsk-2021" in Minsk.
