Vitebsk celebrated the 80th anniversary of the creation of the vocational education system
A solemn meeting with the participation of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, was held at the regional philharmonic hall. Presenting the deserved awards to the heroes of the occasion, Nikolai Nikolaevich emphasized that the education system of the Vitebsk region holds leading positions and has been recognized as the best in the country for the second year in a row. People stand behind this achievement. Vocational education plays a significant role in strengthening the socio-economic potential.
– No matter how rapidly scientific and technological progress develops and information technologies are implemented, the main wealth of any country has been, is, and will be manual labor, – emphasized the head of the region.
– Qualified specialists are the most important asset not only of any enterprise but also of the state.
The vocational education system of the region includes 6 higher education institutions, 27 secondary specialized institutions, and 12 vocational-technical institutions.
