In Vitebsk, four new industrial enterprises were created by the end of the year

They engaged in the production of mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages, construction materials, and kitchen furniture, thereby creating 30 jobs. New production facilities were also organized at existing enterprises through ongoing modernization and technical re-equipment. For instance, Vitebsk Silk Fabric Mill OJSC mastered the production of geotextiles, Visas OJSC established a unit for the production of angular gears for Gomselmash Production Association, and Vistan Plant began producing gearboxes for the Belarus tractor. An automatic line for the manufacturing of insulating glass units was launched at OknaInvest SOOO, and Energokomplekt Production Association is set to compete in the market for halogen-free flame-retardant power cables. Furthermore, an Italian drying and finishing machine was commissioned at KIM OJSC, and a 20,000-ton capacity elevator complex for rapeseeds was put into operation at Vitebsk MESZ OJSC. The implementation of a new investment project, "Reconstruction of the Preparation and Pressing Department," has also commenced there. A large-scale upgrade of equipment at Vitebsk enterprises will continue.
