The flag of the XXXI International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar" was raised in Vitebsk.
The honor of raising the "Slavianski Bazaar" flag was granted to the Grand Prix winner of the 2021 young performers' competition, Ruhiya Baidukena from Kazakhstan, and the first prize winner of last year's children's music competition, Konstantin Mazurkevich from Belarus.
A helicopter from the Vitebsk aeroclub carried the white banner with festival symbols in a lap of honor over the Summer Amphitheater. The flag-raising ceremony was complemented by a choreographic performance by Vitebsk children who walked around the area near the amphitheater with colorful flags.
This year, about 30 countries will be represented at the festival, and their national flags will fly near the Summer Amphitheater until the end of "Slavianski Bazaar."
The grand opening of the international arts forum will take place on the evening of July 14, and the audience will bid farewell to the festival on July 17. Also, at the closing of "Slavianski Bazaar" on July 18, a late-night concert of chanson stars will be held in the Summer Amphitheater. Throughout all festival days, guests and residents of Vitebsk can visit exhibitions, street festivities, and vibrant parties at the venue near the "Vitebsk" concert hall, and inside it – solo concerts by stars. Everyone is also invited to the creative musical extravaganza, the street art festival "Na Semi Vetrakh" (On Seven Winds).-0-
