The Vladimir Myachin Moped Museum has existed for about 5 years, and it opened in Vitebsk on Cosmonautics Day, April 12, 2015.

- It's easy to remember the opening date, - Vladimir himself explained.

Vladimir Myachin, an employee of the Moscow Museum of Industrial Culture, plans to build a place for such an interesting hobby on his own land in the future. In the meantime, he rents a space for rare exhibits. More than 30 mopeds and motor bicycles are presented for public viewing. The collection is complemented by old toys (including miniature vintage cars), radio equipment, and other items.

- I bought my first moped by chance, then another one. I became interested in the history, not the operation, of Soviet small-displacement vehicles, started collecting information, and created a website. Few people are seriously involved in this; most are interested in cars and motorcycles, - said Vladimir Myachin.

Vladimir said that some exhibits were donated, and he buys the most interesting models himself.

- I hope to get children on two wheels over time and raise successors, - added the collector.

The museum is temporarily located in the parking lot at 15 Stroiteley Avenue (near the “Yevroopt” store). A pleasant surprise awaits all visitors at the exit.

You can visit the Museum completely free of charge, BUT by contacting the owner of the collection in advance by phone: +375-29-217-18-01
