A reindeer has appeared in Vitebsk

The only reindeer in our region has recently settled at the Equestrian Center in the Vitebsk village of Tulovo, writes the portal provitebsk.by.

The beautiful fawn is named Nord, he is less than a year old. The animal is currently kept on a leash - the new resident of the Equestrian Center is getting used to it and getting acquainted with the local inhabitants. He recognizes his owner Alexander well, has befriended a pony, but not yet a camel named Sharida. The two-humped southerner seems to be jealous of the newcomer from the north.

Reindeer moss does not grow in Vitebsk, so Nord eats oats and tree bark. He does not drink water; snow, which he likes to "feast on" during walks, replaces it for the fawn.

By summer, Nord will grow up, and it is expected that he will be able to give rides to children, and later, possibly, to adults.
