In Vitebsk, families where babies were born during Parental Love Week were congratulated
During the festive period of Parental Love Week, 24 babies were born at the Vitebsk City Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2. 23 women became mothers, one of whom gave birth to twins. Today is the discharge day for three families. Representatives of public organizations, the district administration, and the regional council of deputies came to them with bouquets and gifts. The celebration was organized as a family event, inviting fathers, grandmothers, and grandfathers, as well as the children of the young parents.
The Shchemelev family recently became a large family. According to them, this is already a good tradition, as the young father Vladimir grew up with two brothers, and now he himself has three sons: six-year-old Misha, two-year-old Roma, and Ivan. "We are very happy and glad that the child was born healthy, our older sons were looking forward to this, as was dad," says Tatyana. "Despite this being our third baby, it's still as exciting and tender as the first time, it's impossible to put into words! The whole family united to prepare for the new arrival, all our relatives helped us. When my husband and I first met, he immediately said that we would have at least three children."

Tatyana Shchemeleva adds: in a family, it is important to do everything together and support each other in everything - then the children will grow up happy. "A family is when you come home and are surrounded by comfort and warmth. It is trust, it is where it feels good," Vladimir continues his wife's thought.
Ivan and Tatyana Pristavko are already parents twice over. Bogdan, who is 3.5 years old, attends kindergarten. Now, as the elder brother, he will help his mom and dad take care of Stepan. "With the second child, the joys in the family are not twice, but four times as much," shares Tatyana. "You could say that the walls of this maternity hospital are like home to us - Bogdan was also born here."

The personal happiness when a baby is born is simply boundless, says young mother Anna Petrova. It is especially pleasant when warmth and care are provided not only by loved ones. "Holidays like Parental Love Week create a culture of family values, draw attention to mothers, their concerns and problems. After all, a mother has a huge responsibility, and she always needs support, especially when a baby is just born. And the more this is talked about, the more people will help mothers, even on the street, in clinics. Of course, it is important to support fathers too, because they are no less needed and involved in parenting," the woman noted.

Organizing such family holidays on the eve of major state and religious holidays in the region has already become a good tradition. Representatives of authorities and public associations visit maternity hospitals and congratulate young mothers on the birth of their children. "A new tradition is emerging when, during Parental Love Week, after Mother's Day and on the eve of Father's Day, we invite families in full to congratulate them and express our gratitude. This is not just a tribute to fashion. We truly understand the importance that the state attaches to the birth of new generations. We can build beautiful new schools, kindergartens, tidy up cities and build new industries, but if there is no one to work in them, we will have no future. And it is no coincidence that today we pay so much attention to young families. The future of our country, of any of us, depends on these babies. And the more of them there are, the stronger and more robust the country will be," said the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev. He added that the region will continue to support young families.

To conclude the celebration, young fathers planted thuja trees next to the maternity hospital on the already existing Alley of Fathers. The healthcare institution notes that this tradition will also be continued. "Another son - another tree. After all, it is customary that a man should raise a son, plant a tree, and build a house. This tradition is a symbol of the family, its strength. After all, family is a reliable support in life, which every person strives to create, preserve, and cherish," noted young father Ivan Pristavko.
The congratulatory relay race will take place throughout the Vitebsk region. Similar meetings are already being held in Novopolotsk and Orsha. Public organizations, civil servants, and enterprise managers are joining the campaign.
