In Vitebsk, the information and reference publication "8 Great Battles. 1941 – 1945" was presented.
Introducing the motor rally crew to the readers, Gennady Egorov, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, spoke about the preparations for the Victory anniversary in the Vitebsk region and noted the significance of joint patriotic work. The motor rally program includes meetings with youth during stops along the route and familiarizing the reading audience with a book about the main battles of the Great Patriotic War.
The information published in the edition about the battles near Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk, the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade, the Bagration operation, the capture of Berlin and the defeat of militaristic Japan is illustrated with photographs and maps. It is accompanied by a disc with songs of the war years and thematic documentaries. The compiler of the reference book, Cherepovets author and former military doctor Sergey Polonsky (in the photo), presented a copy of it to the regional library.
