In Vitebsk, trade unions will organize a track and field race
Over 500 representatives of primary trade union organizations of enterprises and organizations of the regional center, as well as athletes - students of the Vitebsk Sports Club of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, will take part in the cross-country race to be held on October 4 in Vitebsk, the press service of the regional trade unions reported.
The race will start at 13:30 and will take place in the park near the Vitebsk River. Depending on their age, participants will have to run 500 m or 1 km. "The main goal of the competition is to attract working people to systematic physical education and to establish sports ties among trade union organizations," the press service noted. Following the results of the cross-country race, the best will be awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
The race is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus and the 115th anniversary of the trade union movement in Belarus. The organizers were the Vitebsk Regional Association of Trade Unions in conjunction with the regional sports club of the FTUB.
