A job fair for people with disabilities will be held in Vitebsk
A job fair for citizens with disabilities will be held in Vitebsk on August 2, reported Marina Budkevich, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the City Executive Committee.
The event will begin at 10:00 AM at the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the City Executive Committee (10 B. Khmelnitsky St.). Nine enterprises, which already employ people with disabilities, will offer their vacancies. These include UP "Elekt", "Galant", ChP "Vitmа", three territorial centers for social services for the population of Vitebsk, the insurance company "Stravita", the central polyclinic, and the regional center for dermatology, venereology, and cosmetology. Specialties will be selected based on the capabilities and medical conclusions of the citizens. Since the beginning of the year, the employment service in the city has assisted 31 disabled individuals in finding employment, and 13 are undergoing adaptation to work activities at the territorial centers for social services for the population of Vitebsk. In the first half of the year, the unemployment rate in Vitebsk was 0.3%. As of July 1, nearly 500 unemployed individuals were registered with the city employment service, with 2,340 vacancies available. Approximately 80% of the offers are for blue-collar jobs.
