Vitebsk to host regional competition for the title of Super Grandma
The event will take place on October 16 at the Vitebsk City Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth. Winners and prize-winners of the qualifying rounds held in Orsha, Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Polotsk, and the Vitebsk region will compete for the title of Super Grandmother. These are active ladies aged 60 and over who are engaged in creative activities and sports, cook well, and most importantly, know all safety rules perfectly.
To receive the honorary title, participants will have to undergo the "Grandmother's Safety Recipes" and "Grandmother's Hands Know No Boredom" challenges, where they need to impress the jury with their culinary masterpieces and handicraft skills. Separate points will be awarded for the presentation. In the "Eyes Fear, but Hands Do" and "Come on, Grandmothers, Come on, Beauties" stages, participants will compete in the dexterity of installing a fire alarm and putting on a rescuer's combat uniform. In the final stage of the competition, held in the format of "Own Game," pensioners will demonstrate their knowledge of safety.
The organizers of the event are the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the Belarusian Voluntary Fire Society.
