The festival 'In the Unity of Generations – the Strength of the Country' was held in Vitebsk
As reported by Irina Yelenskaya, Chairperson of the regional organization of the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization (BRPO), the festival is an initiative of the main department for education of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Vitebsk regional organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization". The event is aimed at strengthening intergenerational ties, universal human values, and national self-awareness.
The main event of the festival was a concert with the participation of creative teams from educational institutions of the Vitebsk region, the group of the Vitebsk city public association of elderly people "Golden Age", and the ensemble "103rd Region" of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade.
– When we are united, we are invincible, and time, year after year, situation after situation, proves this eternal rule, – noted Elena Bogdanovich, First Deputy Head of the Main Department for Education of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, addressing the forum participants with a welcoming speech. – There is strength in unity. In unity of thought, views, and actions.
– Participation in such events is necessary for children, – believes Elena Kirik, head of the exemplary choreographic ensemble "Mix" of the Dubrovno District Center for Children and Youth. – This festival demonstrates the connection between generations and reminds us of the feat of our ancestors. Children realize that only by uniting can we preserve peace above our heads. Plus, participation in such a project gives young artists additional stage experience.
In addition to the concert, there were many other interesting things at the festival. For example, the BRPО thematic area – “We are the future of Belarus”, the BRSM – “Belarus is a source of inspiration”; the folk art exhibition “Belarusian Treasury”, the interactive area “My Historical Heritage” were functioning.
