The final of the regional stage of the festival "Art-vacations-2023" was held in Vitebsk.
More than 400 participants performed today in a concert composed of the best acts. Among them, the republican jury must choose those who will represent our region at the final gala concert, which will be held in May in Novopolotsk, the Youth Capital of Belarus.
This time, the "ART-vacations" festival is dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation. Its motto is "The Time of New Traditions in Youth Creativity." During the current forum in the Vitebsk region, colleges of our region demonstrated their capabilities and talents, with about two thousand people in total competing for victory in dozens of nominations.
The brightest and most spectacular component of the festival has always been the performances of creative groups and individual performers. Choreography became the most impressive area, both in terms of the number of participants and the expressiveness of the acts. In total, the review-competition included 44 nominations related to various types of artistic creativity – from vocals to the original genre. In addition, the organizing committee decided to evaluate the concert programs separately. The first place here was awarded to the Vitebsk State Technological College. Two other colleges in the regional center – the technical and the industrial-technological – shared the second place.
Wishing success to the concert participants, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov emphasized: it is very important that young people who are acquiring professions significant for the country's economy have diverse interests, and that the guys, in addition to their studies, are also passionate about sports and creativity.
— There are more than 400 people here who want to present everything they can do. As a rule, the most amazing stars ignite in such groups, — said Vyacheslav Durnov. — I think today we will see a wonderful show prepared by our guys.
The program opened with an original arrangement of Georgy Sviridov's composition "Time, Forward!" by the "Renaissance" orchestra of Polotsk College of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov. Then, to the song "Belarus is Us" performed by Arina Novikova from Orsha State Medical College, the folk fashion theater "Style" of Vitebsk State Industrial-Technological College and the result of the work of the "Interior Design" interest association of G. Semenov Orsha State College of Textiles could be seen on stage... Songs alternated with dances, theatrical groups replaced reciters, and one could only wonder: when do the students from the colleges of the northern region manage not only to master the nuances of professional skills but also to find time for creativity?
By the way, young people could also express themselves at the festival in other initiatives. In particular, within the framework of the republican forum, the заочный (correspondence) competition "ART-portal" was held, where video works were evaluated (it could be a documentary film, a video essay, a music video, a commercial, newsreel, video essay, interview, animation, time-lapse photography, photo collage). In addition, the interactive project "Recytacyja" was implemented, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Belarusian poet Ales Bachilo, and the competition of information and methodological developments for cultural and leisure events "Kreon" was organized.
The Republican Festival of Artistic Creativity "ART-vacatsii" is held with the aim of fostering citizenship and patriotism among youth, a value-based attitude towards the historical and cultural heritage of the Belarusian people, it is designed to promote the implementation of socio-cultural innovations and support the initiatives of the younger generation, and to create conditions for the self-realization of students.
