The Vitebsk region hosted the regional stage of the republican military-applied game "Breakthrough"

В Витебске прошел областной этап республиканской военно-прикладной игры «Прорыв»
Participants of the regional stage of the republican military-applied game "Breakthrough" were able to test their skills in tactical shooting, complete the "Sniper's Edge," "Assault Course," and other challenges, including intellectual ones.

The regional stage brought together 5 teams representing Vitebsk universities at the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade.

Welcoming the participants, Vyacheslav Khrol, Deputy Head of the Main Department – Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Youth Affairs, Religions and Nationalities of the Regional Executive Committee, noted that this year the challenges of the "Breakthrough" military-applied game are much more difficult than before, and also emphasized the importance of holding such events in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

– To overcome all the challenges, one must possess considerable endurance, ingenuity, strength, and intellect. We believe that you will be able to complete all stages, and the winners will worthily represent our region at the republican stage of the game in Gomel, the youth capital of the country, – said Vyacheslav Khrol. – Alexander Suvorov said: "It is hard in training – easy in battle." Therefore, while undergoing challenges and facing difficulties, take an example from veterans, servicemen, and those soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom during the Great Patriotic War.

Guards Colonel, Deputy Commander for Ideological Work, Head of the Ideological Work Department of Military Unit 52287, Alexey Izmailov, noted that today students have a unique opportunity to test themselves and demonstrate their strengths in such competitions.

– When I was studying at school and academy, such games were not held. Those were the times of the collapse of the Soviet Union. And only in the two-thousands did this good tradition begin to revive. Therefore, to some extent, I am even envious of you. And may the strongest win!

Valeryan Matskevich, Chairman of the regional organization of the NGO "BSVVА", and Sergey Denisov, Chairman of the regional organization of the NGO "Belarusian Union of Officers", emphasized that the republican military-applied game "Breakthrough" is being held for the second year. It not only fosters a military-patriotic spirit but also demonstrates that Belarus sacredly preserves the memory of the Great Patriotic War and is proud of the people's heroic deeds.

To become winners, participating teams, each consisting of 10 people, had to score the highest number of points based on the results of five game stages, correctly answer test questions in the "Intellectual Tournament". They had to test their accuracy, strength, and endurance in the "Tactical Shooting", "Sniper Line", and "UAV Operator" stages, where students shot at targets, carried ammunition boxes, lifted weights, crawled to a conditional firing line, and navigated a virtual track using a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) remote control and interactive goggles.

The most challenging stage of the game was the "Assault Course", where each team member had to disassemble and reassemble an assault rifle, erect a defensive structure, complete a forced march, and much more.
