A solemn ceremony of inscribing the best enterprises and organizations on the Board of Honor was held in Vitebsk

The traditional ceremony of inducting the best enterprises and organizations into the regional Honor Board on the eve of May 1st gives the celebration a special socio-moral significance. This was stated by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, addressing the representatives of advanced teams at the festive event last Thursday in Vitebsk.

May 1st symbolizes peace and creation, celebrates the working person, embodies spring bloom and hopes for the future, the search for bold innovative ideas and solutions. It is thanks to the conscientious work of the residents of Pridvinye that in 2014, the region managed to maintain positive dynamics in most socio-economic development indicators. Among the most important achievements, Nikolai Sherstnev named the fulfillment of government targets for the growth rates of gross regional product, export of goods, energy saving indicator, ensuring the leading growth of labor productivity over wage growth, as well as a positive balance of foreign trade in goods and services. For several years now, enterprises of the Vitebsk region have demonstrated the highest innovative activity. According to the results of 2014, the region is among the leaders in terms of export growth of goods and gross regional product, the index of the physical volume of industrial production, the ratio of finished goods inventories in warehouses to the average monthly production volume, which mitigates the problem of working capital outflow.

Last year, 190 new organizations were established in the Vitebsk region, 30 production facilities were commissioned at existing enterprises, and 2.8 thousand new jobs were created. It is no coincidence that the region is among the leaders in terms of the share of costs for the acquisition of machinery and equipment in the total volume of investment in fixed assets, and therefore _ in the renewal of the active part of fixed assets, which favorably affects the processes of technical re-equipment and modernization. In the complex conditions of the global economy development, enterprises are seeking sources of economic growth through the development of intellectual and creative human potential, the search for new ideas and technologies. The implementation of projects for the construction of a plant for the production of sheet metal and tinplate in the Miory district, the development of infrastructure of OJSC "Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant", the construction of a plant for the production of peat pellets and substrates from peat on the basis of the Sharkovshchina and Glubokoe districts, the organization of production of trade equipment in Vitebsk, and a number of others continues.

- Success comes to those who can clearly define their goals and make well-thought-out long-term decisions, _ believes Nikolai Sherstnev. Today, it is important to implement modern technologies, show thrift and economy, and produce competitive products. But no matter how smart machines and technologies are, nothing can replace a working person, he is convinced.

Honoring the frontrunners in the economy and social sphere, we pay tribute to the most respected teams and workers who, through concrete examples and deeds, not only improve their own well-being but also contribute to strengthening the economy of the district and the region. "Labor is the source of well-being and prosperity, and conscientious work allows for the consistent strengthening of the country's true independence," emphasized Nikolai Sherstnev.

For achieving the best results in 2014 in fulfilling the forecast indicators of socio-economic development, increasing production efficiency, and ensuring high indicators for resource conservation, organizations recognized as winners of the regional competition have been included in the regional Honor Board. Among them are OJSC "Design Bureau "Display", where a production unit for remote weapon control modules was created, "Vitebsk Carpets" (over 100 new designs of woven carpets and rugs were developed and implemented, 6 new collections of double-layer jacquard carpets were produced), "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant", "Orsha Machine-Tool Plant "Red Fighter" (more than 20 units of original products based on modern solutions and technologies were produced), PRUP "Vitebskoblgaz", SOOO "LLK-NAFTAN", UP "Polymerkonstruktsiya", KUPSKH "Drissensky" (Verkhnedvinsk District), agricultural unitary enterprise "/font>Polimir-agro», JSC «Rudakovo», «Orshansky Leskhoz» (a basic nursery with an area of 23 hectares was put into operation), KPRSUP «Vitebskobldorstroy», JSC «Lotoss Association», gymnasiums No. 1 and No. 2 of the regional center, Vitebsk State Technological University, the cultural center «Vitebsk», the editorial offices of the newspapers «Vitbichi» and «Vecherniy Vitebsk», Vitebsk City Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2 and the Regional Clinical Specialized Center.
