Dialogue platforms with youth were held in Vitebsk
More than a hundred people gathered to participate in the dialogue. These were students, teachers, and university staff.
– I am filled with pride to be in this audience because, when you meet young people, future medical professionals, you understand that the health of our nation truly depends on you (and these are not empty, pompous words), – said Marina Novitskaya. – Today we say that the Vitebsk region is developing dynamically. The population of the region is over 1 million 200 thousand people. The majority, which is 850 thousand people, live in urban areas. In our rural regions and small towns, we observe an outflow of the population, including young people. Many programs have been created to support young people both in the country and in the region. The main task is to retain young specialists in their regions. Life is fleeting, and being in a large, dynamically developing city, we understand that, yes, there is a strategy for the development of the social sphere, there are more places for entertainment, but when you come to the districts, you find yourself in an atmosphere of comfort when you connect with nature, you see the slow, cozy pace of human life. It is not for nothing that people say, "Where you were born, there you will be useful," because the place where we were born truly attracts each of us. I want you to ask questions that concern you during the dialogue. There are no closed topics for discussion.
The youth leader of Belarus admitted that he is always happy to visit the Vitebsk land because there are many versatile and talented young people here.
– Today, Vitebsk has become a unique venue for celebrating International Children's Day. The regional festival "Youth for Peace and Creation" brought together more than five thousand people, not only from Vitebsk and the region, but also from other parts of our country, – noted Alexander Lukyanov. – A dialogue platform is being held within the walls of one of the leading universities that trains healthcare specialists – Vitebsk State Medical University. It is indeed important now to have a direct dialogue with young people and receive feedback. There are many different topics that concern them. The healthcare sector is among them. We all remember the recent meeting with the Head of State, where the healthcare system's vertical structure was harshly criticized. In this regard, it is precisely the young people, young students, future doctors of our country, who need to understand how to build their work so that the healthcare system functions properly. In addition, it is important to discuss the activities of the BRSM. Taking this opportunity, I congratulate all children on the holiday. I am confident that the conditions have been created in our country that will contribute to the reliable and safe development of our growing generation.
The speakers gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the young people.
By the way, an offer was received from the students to implement the "Personnel Ladder" project (recall that the initiators of the project, which is a unique two-week program with no analogues in the country's universities, are the public association "Belaya Rus", BRSM) at VSMU.
