The XVI Republican competition "EnergoMarathon" is taking place in Vitebsk
On March 30, the award ceremony for the winners of the final stage of the competition will take place. Among them are schoolchildren from the Vitebsk educational institution, where for ten years the children-adult initiative of teachers and students "Brighter Together" has been operating, broadcasting innovative energy-saving ideas.
Moreover, the website "Pridvinskaya Academy of Energy Saving" has been created – a school model of action, which is a universal structure for the effective organization of the educational process for the formation of competencies in the field of energy and resource conservation. Its mission is a unified striving for energy efficiency, which gives confidence in the future.
This was confirmed by the new educational platforms "Energy Guard", "Energy Start", "Energy Style". For example, with the aim of optimizing consumption and teaching schoolchildren rational use of all types of energy, the "Energy Guard" software and hardware complex has been implemented and successfully introduced at Secondary School No. 12. Simply put, it is the implementation of smart school elements, including dimmable LED lights for outdoor lighting, monitoring of microclimate conditions, optimization of hot and cold water consumption, and heating. According to preliminary data, this will save up to 20% of all energy used by the school.
The children will be able to monitor the situation daily and collect data for research work, which will contribute to the formation of a thrifty approach to resources.
The "Energostart" platform is considered a landmark – it is a resource center for energy saving, where students can use a database for research work and implement joint projects within the "teacher-student-parent" system. As part of the "Clean Energy" project, interactive motivational stands on alternative energy have been created at the school. The stands are made from secondary materials by participants of the "Energy of the Future" workshop.
Schoolchildren are focused on positive models and practices for the efficient use of energy resources. "Energostyle" is reflected in the creation of the floor game "Energo-Land," the use of digital technologies at public transport stops "Stop of the Future," smart home elements "SMART system for the school building," energy-saving clocks "Time of the Thrifty," and other developments.
Impressed by the innovative ideas that have practical applications, Vyacheslav Durnov encouraged the children not to stop at what they have achieved and to move forward.
