The first social housing in Belarus will be built in Vitebsk with the involvement of gratuitous Chinese aid
Belarus and China have been linked by friendly relations for many years. A new milestone was the agreement between the governments of the states on the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation for the implementation of technical and economic assistance projects. Another step in this direction was the Memorandum between the Belarusian Ministry of Economy and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce on the use of funds allocated for the construction of social housing in Belarus. And now both countries are firmly following the course determined during the agreements, noted Cui Qiming, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Belarus, during the solemn ceremony of launching the interstate project in Vitebsk.
— Belarus and China are good friends and reliable partners. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our relationship has been developing dynamically and is based on the principles of mutual respect, equality, and benefit, — emphasized Cui Qiming, adding that the launch of the new project demonstrates the sincere, warm attitude of the Chinese people towards the Belarusian people.
The gratuitous support from foreign colleagues allows both the northern region and the republic as a whole to solve at least two problems focused in the industry: the employment of construction workers and the provision of housing for those registered as needing to improve their housing conditions and eligible for social housing. Currently, this list for the region includes 2907 people, with the largest number residing in Orsha and Vitebsk. Therefore, according to Vladimir Belous, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, it is in these cities that the construction will begin.
project implementation. This involves the construction of two facilities in the Vitebsk region, the first of which is a 120-apartment residential building of type KPD No. 72 in the Bilevo-3 microdistrict. It is planned that it will open its doors to new residents as early as February of next year. Concurrently with it, a 108-apartment residential building will be erected on Zavadsky Street in Orsha, which is intended to be commissioned in May 2017. A total of over 13.6 million Belarusian rubles will be invested in these houses. Despite the fact that the general contractor is LLC "25th Company of China Railway Construction Corporation", local builders from the Vitebsk region are involved in subcontracting. In the regional center, this responsible mission fell to Vitebsk DSK, which will use panels manufactured at the enterprise in its work. Trust No. 18 will use its own products for the monolithic house in Orsha. The implementation of this program is under the control of the customer - the capital construction department of the regional executive committee.Important
A number of social housing projects will be implemented in our country with the involvement of technical and economic assistance from the PRC. The first stage of the project includes the construction of 16 such houses in various regions of Belarus, and about 1.4 thousand families will receive keys to apartments in them.
— This is not the first project in the northern region that is being implemented jointly with representatives of China. A steam turbine unit has already been built at the Lukomlskaya GRES, and the Vitebsk HPP is under construction. Therefore, we know our Chinese colleagues as reliable business partners, which gives us confidence in the success of the new project, — noted Vladimir Nikolaevich.
The second stage in the implementation of the planned program in our region will be the construction of four more residential buildings in Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and Lepel.
The official start of the social project in Vitebsk was marked by the laying of the first foundation block at the construction site in Bilevo-3.
