Vitebsk will host a unique flamenco concert by the «PAYA’S» theater

В Витебске состоится единственный концерт фламенко в исполнении театра «PAYA’S»

Residents of Vitebsk have a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with such a vibrant aspect of Spanish folk culture as flamenco. On October 20, 2013, at 6:00 PM, the Vitebsk Concert Hall will host a unique flamenco concert performed by the "PAYA'S" Theatre (Spain).

Flamenco

– is an art form originating from the Spanish region of Andalusia, combining instrumental music (toque), singing (cante), and dance (baile). Its roots are linked to Moorish culture and ancient Romani traditions. Today, flamenco has over 50 variations and enjoys worldwide popularity, which is not surprising: performances of this genre literally burn with passion and amaze with their beauty.

This dance embodies the entire Spanish soul. Temperament. Pride. Beauty. Fire. The artists of the Spanish "PAYA'S" Theatre are bringing such a feast for the eyes and ears to Vitebsk. The program "FROM THE ROOTS OF FLAMENCO," featuring the best examples of the genre, will be presented on stage. Following tradition, all numbers will be performed by the artists accompanied by live music (guitar, castanets). The vibrant, distinctive costumes of the dancers will complete the Spanish ambiance.

Flamenco is improvisational in nature and has a complex rhythm, making each performance by masters of this genre unique in its own way. And the Vitebsk performance is no exception.
