The Vitebsk regional New Year's ball for gifted youth was held
– Following a kind tradition, this celebration brought together the best students, cadets, and pupils who have achieved significant success in their studies, research, social life, creative endeavors, and sports. In the Year of Peace and Creation, your achievements and discoveries are a vivid example of patriotism, dedication to your native country, and your chosen path. The state provides ample opportunities for young people to realize their potential: free education, access to the latest developments and technologies, the ability to implement promising initiatives, and much more. Each of you embodies the best national traits: diligence, responsibility, respect for our country, its history, and traditions. It can be confidently said that you will become highly qualified specialists who will bring glory to your native Vitebsk region and Belarus, – said Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, reading out the congratulatory address from the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
The regional New Year's ball, attended by the region's leadership and distinguished guests, was a gift for the best students of the Vitebsk region. The participants are outstanding students, prize-winners and laureates of international competitions and olympiads, diploma holders of scientific and practical conferences, active members of student teams, the "Masherovtsy" School of Leaders, volunteers, and athletes. Many of the participants are recognized on their institution's Honor Roll, have received certificates of merit and commendations, and are recipients of personal university council scholarships.
– The ball has gathered the most talented, active, creative, and purposeful youth. Here, young people communicate, gain energy and positivity. The path they are on is not always easy, but it is interesting and memorable, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov to the youth.
As is customary at a ball, young men and women, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, immersed themselves in the world of the polonaise, waltz, quadrille, polka, and pad de patineur.
Elizaveta Kazachenok, a student of the Lyceum of VSU named after P. Masherov, is an excellent student and actively participates in the life of the lyceum and the university named after P. Masherov. The girl became a participant of the regional ball for the second time.
– Here you enter a real fairy tale, and each of us dreams of that. It is very honorable and pleasant to be here, – shared Elizaveta Kazachenok.
A pleasant addition to the New Year's celebration were the game entertainments, in which Ded Moroz and Snegurochka invited everyone to participate.
By the way, a distinctive feature of the New Year's ball in 2023 was its "crystal theme," which was reflected in the accessories and outfits of the participants, the decoration of the halls, exhibitions, and photo zones.
The event concluded with an exchange of New Year's gifts and a festive fireworks display.
