A ceremonial rally was held in Vitebsk on the eve of Police Day
On the eve of Police Day in Vitebsk, flowers were laid at the memorial sign to employees of internal affairs bodies and servicemen of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus who died in the line of duty and military service.
A tribute to the fallen was paid not only by current employees but also by veterans. A solemn rally was then held, during which the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Regional Executive Committee, Police Colonel Andrei Lyubimov, presented awards to distinguished colleagues.
A little later, Andrei Yuryevich met with the widows and children of the fallen, who gathered at the Holy Assumption Cathedral, where a requiem service was held. This was followed by a formal meeting dedicated to the professional holiday, as noted by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
