Vitebsk introduces additional measures to prevent and reduce the spread of acute respiratory infections
A number of points will change the cultural and evening life of the city. Thus, the doors of libraries, museums, and exhibition venues will remain open, but mass events in them are now prohibited. In the auditoriums of cinemas, theaters, philharmonic societies, and other cultural institutions of Vitebsk, visitors will have to sit at least one and a half meters apart. A similar seating arrangement is also expected for customers in cafes and restaurants. The operation of discos, night and computer clubs, hookah bars, bowling alleys, billiard rooms, and entertainment venues after 11:00 PM is canceled. Also, exhibitions, presentations, fairs, and other mass events in indoor premises will not be held for now. In shopping and entertainment centers, events for children, as well as group presentations, tastings, and promotional events for customers in stores and shopping malls, are suspended.
Some points have affected the sphere of education. In particular, parents whose children attend kindergarten can leave their child at home while retaining their place in the preschool institution and without charging any fees. Schools are recommended to keep students within the same class, ensure the operation of clubs, excluding the grouping of children from different classes, including during holidays. In universities, secondary vocational, and vocational-technical educational institutions, group classes in auditoriums are replaced by distance learning and individual schedules.
Enterprises, organizations, and institutions of the regional center are recommended to conduct meetings, seminars, and sessions primarily using video and audio conferencing, as well as to limit business trips of employees.
The ban on visits to social institutions for the elderly by unauthorized persons, the control over the sanitary condition of public urban transport, and other sanitary and epidemiological measures previously introduced in Vitebsk due to the increase in ARVI incidence are still in effect.
The entire list of measures provided for by this decision is published on the website of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.
