Two Armenian citizens who were smuggling illegal immigrants into EU countries were detained in Vitebsk
In Vitebsk, during a joint operation, operational officers of the border control unit "Minsk", a special unit of the border service, with the support of the OMON of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, detained two citizens of Armenia, born in 1970 and 1981.
These individuals, using a tourist channel, were transporting illegal migrants from Iran and Armenia to the European Union countries.
At the place of temporary stay of the detainees and in their vehicles, 15 passports of citizens of Armenia, seals and stamps of state and private business entities of various countries, including the Republic of Belarus, were found, presumably bearing signs of forgery.
Currently, the citizens of Armenia have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee. An investigation is underway.
