Two Vitebsk residents were detained in Vitebsk for growing marijuana in an apartment and in the attic of a summer house

Two 32-year-old residents of Vitebsk have been detained in Vitebsk for organizing a business to grow cannabis and sell marijuana.

The police received operational information that cannabis cultivation laboratories were operating in Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region. Employees of the Department for Drug Control and Human Trafficking of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee immediately checked all addresses. During the inspection, various equipment for growing the green poison was discovered.

The suspects were detained in the Vitebsk region when they were returning after checking their "plantation". In the attic of the dacha house of one of the "gardeners", police officers found an equipped room (walls lined with foil, ventilation, automatic watering and lighting) and 238 cannabis plants. In the apartment of the second suspect, there was also a specially equipped cabinet in which 43 cannabis plants were grown. All plants, as well as seeds, about 0.8 grams of marijuana, and equipment have been seized. Two criminal cases have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
