In Vitebsk, the reserve football field of CSK has opened after reconstruction

Yesterday, a solemn opening ceremony took place in Vitebsk after the reconstruction of the CSK reserve football field, which was laid with a new modern artificial turf.

This is a long-awaited event for fans of sport No. 1, as the regional center, alas, experiences an acute shortage of quality football fields for competitions of all levels.

Chairman of the City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaikin recalled that the decision to completely replace the upper coating of the field was made a little over a year ago, and finally, after major repairs, it has been put into operation. The contractor was "PlissaStroy" LLC. The cost of reconstruction amounted to 3.8 billion undenominated rubles, of which more than 3 billion were spent on the purchase of imported turf. The work, according to specialists, was carried out with high quality.

Viktor Pavlovich specifically emphasized that today in Vitebsk, more than a thousand young athletes are involved in football sections. And how many more play football outside of schools! It is gratifying that the material and technical base is being strengthened and developed through joint efforts. This is the key to ensuring that the main team of the regional center will be replenished with competent and technically skilled youth.

The same leitmotif was present in the welcome speech of the Head of the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Regional Executive Committee Vasily Zakharevich. On behalf of the head of the region, Nikolai Sherstnev, useful gifts were presented: sports uniforms for coaches and balls for the trainees.

The thrifty hosts from FC "Vitebsk" did not leave the old turf, removed a year ago, unused: today, the trainees from the club's master sports school are honing their skills on it. After the solemn part with the cutting of the symbolic red ribbon and the first kick of the ball by Viktor Nikolaikin and Vasily Zakharevich, a match was held here between trainees of the SDYUSSHOR of different ages, who duly appreciated the quality of the new turf.

The reserve field of the sports complex (and the old turf

served for over 10 years) became close and simply to healthy lifestyle enthusiasts, as it could be rented in free time from matches and training sessions by everyone. The owners promise to revive the tradition.

By the way, in another match of the national championship in the top league, the synthetic turf will be tested by rival friends – the reserve teams of "Vitebsk" and "Naftan" from Novopolotsk.
