In the Vitebsk region, Olympiads in foreign languages and mathematics will gather the most participants

More than 1,000 students will participate in the third (regional) stage of the republican subject Olympiad in the Vitebsk region from January 13-17, reported Elena Bogdanovich, First Deputy Head of the Main Department for Education of the Regional Executive Committee.

Young people from the districts of the region and Vitebsk will demonstrate their knowledge in 18 academic subjects. In most disciplines, students will need to complete theoretical and practical stages.

The venues for the intellectual competitions were provided by educational institutions in Vitebsk, Polotsk (for Belarusian language and literature), and Orsha (for mathematics and Russian language and literature). Practical rounds for biology, geography, and computer science will be organized at the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, and for chemistry - at the Vitebsk State Medical University.

"A total of more than 1,000 people will take part in the regional stage of the republican Olympiad. The largest number of participants are registered for foreign languages (164) and mathematics (112)," Elena Bogdanovich clarified.

During the spring break, the northern region will host participants of the final stage of the republican Olympiad in computer science in Vitebsk and mathematics in Orsha.
