In the Vitebsk region, the BRSM is launching the campaign «Biography of Our Youth»
As part of the project, veterans of student brigades can bring recorded memories, digitized photographs and videos, and memorabilia such as badges, medals, and work jackets to the territorial committees of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. These items will later become part of the chronicle of the student brigade movement.
– Through the stories of people who were direct participants in this popular youth movement and contributed to its development, we will try to convey the spirit of that time and present their lives and work as an example for today's young men and women, – said Vyacheslav Khrol, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
Incidentally, the Youth Union, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, has begun creating a book on the history of the student brigade movement, which will include materials collected during the "Biography of Our Youth" campaign.
