25 territorial election commissions will operate in the Vitebsk region to organize the Presidential elections.

Today, October 31, is the deadline for submitting documents for the nomination of representatives to territorial election commissions. On this day, the bodies forming them will complete the acceptance of documents at 17:00. Fewer such commissions will be formed than during the unified voting day, because in the current campaign, elections will be held in one constituency – the Republic of Belarus.

25 territorial election commissions will operate in the Vitebsk region, including in Novopolotsk and three in the regional center. According to electoral legislation, political parties, other public associations, labor collectives, as well as groups of citizens numbering at least 10 people have the right to nominate their activists to the regional, district (including in cities with district division), city (in cities of regional subordination) election commissions. Moreover, the nominating entities (with the exception of groups of citizens) can delegate only one representative to the respective commission.

The deadline for submitting documents for the registration of initiative groups expires tomorrow, November 1. After that, a busy period will begin for activists and voters: the collection of signatures in support of candidates for the highest state office will start on November 7 and will last until December 6.
