In the Vitebsk region, individual landlords increased budget payments by almost a quarter
In the Vitebsk region, for January-June, payments to the budget from citizens receiving income from renting out residential and non-residential premises increased by almost 25% compared to the same period in 2020. This was reported by the press service of the regional tax inspectorate.
Over six months, about Br1.6 million was received from this category of taxpayers. As of July 1, more than 11.6 thousand individuals paying income tax in fixed amounts are registered with the tax authorities. This is about 8% less than on July 1, 2020. Traditionally, the largest number of citizens rent out housing in Vitebsk, Polotsk, and Novopolotsk.
In addition, almost 150 citizens are registered with the tax authorities in the Vitebsk region, paying a single tax for providing residential premises owned by them for short-term stays. From this category of taxpayers, Br40.3 thousand of single tax was received by the budget.
In the first half of 2021, during control measures, 12 citizens were identified who rented out residential premises without paying tax. As a result, Br1.1 thousand was additionally charged.
The share of citizens paying income tax in fixed amounts is about 2.7% of the total number of individuals paying taxes in the Vitebsk region.
For January-July, almost 426 thousand individuals participated in the formation of the Vitebsk region budget, which is approximately 0.5% more than in the same period of 2020.
