A solemn ceremony for the launch of natural gas took place in the agro-town of Paris, Postavy district, with the participation of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, the Assistant to the President - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Igor Brylo, and the Minister of Energy Viktor Karankevich.

The supply gas pipeline to the agro-town of Paris, with a length of over 16 km, was built under the "Comfortable Housing and a Favorable Environment" program. The first apartment buildings have already been converted to natural gas, and in the future, the private sector and social facilities will also be converted.

The Ministry of Energy noted that thanks to the support of the head of state and the government, a modern gas transmission system has been created and is developing in the country, all regional centers, cities, and more than 3.6 thousand rural settlements have been gasified, including 400 in the Vitebsk region. Of the 254 agro-towns in the region, 136 have been converted to blue fuel.

Opening the event, Alexander Subbotin noted: "Paris is the 400th gasified settlement in the Vitebsk region. In recent years, the living conditions of more than 200,000 families have improved. The main gas pipeline branches out in all directions. This is development that allows us to improve comfort and open new production facilities."

Igor Brylo spoke about the prospects that are opening up for territories and settlements: "Agriculture provides a large gross product. It is important to preserve life in the countryside, retain young people, and create coziness in homes. We bow low to the energy and gas workers for the work they have done once again."

The residents of Paryzh have been waiting for this moment, wanting to improve their quality of life and have it, practically, almost like in city apartments. But before their dream came true, the builders of OOO "Belgazstroy" laid a gas pipeline almost 17 km long to their settlement. 56 apartments in four buildings, previously supplied with liquefied gas from a tank installation, have already been connected to the gas pipeline. In the future, more than 80 private households, 10 apartment buildings, as well as the hospital, school, library, cultural center, and post office will be able to use natural gas in the agro-town of Paryzh and the village of Osynogorodok.
