Active trade in school supplies is underway in the Vitebsk region
Retail outlets in the Vitebsk region have launched the season of active sales of school supplies since July 15, and specialized fairs with the participation of industrial and trade enterprises will be held in all cities and district centers on August 20 and 27, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Department of Trade and Services reported.
Expanded trade in goods for schoolchildren has started in the region in accordance with the order of the regional executive committee. "A total of 90 school bazaars will operate in each district of the region, of which 29 are permanent, and the rest are on weekends. Also, 340 exhibitions-sales and expanded sales are planned, including 25 with fashion shows of clothing and footwear and promotional events," the department noted, adding that concert programs are planned during the specialized fairs. Goods necessary for the academic year can also be purchased at retail outlets where almost 1.2 thousand corners for first-graders and schoolchildren have been organized. Additionally, 34 seasonal retail outlets with a similar assortment have been opened. Dozens of manufacturing enterprises, trade organizations, and individual entrepreneurs offering a wide selection of domestic and foreign products will participate in the fairs.
"For example, only in the Vitebsk department store, a wide range of clothing for schoolchildren is already offered. There are over 40 models of suits for boys, as well as jumpers and dresses for girls, not to mention shirts and blouses, trousers and skirts separately," the Department of Trade and Services added. Specialists have calculated the cost of a full set, including notebooks, stationery, clothing, and footwear for school and sports. For a primary school child, such a consumer basket ranges from Br166 to Br564. For a high school student, it ranges from Br250 to Br624.
