In the Vitebsk region, due to strong winds, the electricity supply to 46 settlements has been disrupted, a correspondent of BELTA was informed by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to operational data as of 13:00, strong winds in the region (gusts up to 20 meters per second) have caused damage to the roofs of residential buildings and livestock farms. Reports of falling trees are coming in from the regional center and districts. Several such incidents occurred in Vitebsk, damaging two cars.
The wind damaged 12 power lines (broken wires), and power supply interruptions were noted at 105 transformer substations.
Emerging problems are being promptly resolved by responsible departments and organizations.
