In the Vitebsk region, 673 health camps will operate in the summer

This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Elena Andreikova, head of the representative office "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population". 620 day camps, 37 suburban stationary camps, including the reopened Spartakovets health resort, will receive schoolchildren. In addition, 16 camps will open on the leased premises of boarding schools, rural schools and tourist and health complexes, where more than 2.7 thousand children will undergo health improvement. In total, more than 56 thousand schoolchildren will be able to rest and improve their health in the region's camps this summer. Br2.8 billion will be allocated for the preparation of health resorts, including Br270 million from state social insurance funds, Br500 million from the regional budget, and Br2 billion are to be spent by the owners of the facilities. The main part of the health resorts will start operating from June 10, however, all of them must be ready to receive children by June 1. Elena Andreikova assessed the readiness of the camps differently. For example, new owners of five camps, transferred from agricultural organizations with a weak material and technical base to regional communal ownership, are actively preparing for the summer season. At the same time, the preparation of the Chaika (KIM OJSC), Vityaz (Vitebsk TV Plant), Druzhba (Vitebsk Diocesan Administration), Luch (Vitebsk Instrument-Making Plant) camps is proceeding slowly. -0-
