In the Vitebsk region, Br105 billion is planned to be allocated for the modernization of three flax processing plants in 2012.

March 21, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. In 2012, the modernization of three flax processing plants will begin in the Vitebsk region, the open joint-stock company "Vitebskobllen" informed a BELTA correspondent. Technical re-equipment will affect the Orekhovsky (Orsha district), Postavsky and Dubrovensky flax processing plants. High-performance technological lines for flax fiber processing are planned to be installed at each of them. Tenders for the supply of equipment have been announced, and it is expected to arrive at the enterprises next spring. The main work on the reconstruction of production buildings will be carried out in 2012, and the facilities at the Dubrovensky flax processing plant are planned to be commissioned this year, and at the Postavsky and Orekhovsky plants - by the end of 2013. In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of February 3, 2012 No. 113 "On the Development of Organizations in the Flax Industry", it is planned to allocate Br12.5 billion for the implementation of modernization measures for the Dubrovensky flax processing plant, Br20 billion for the Postavsky plant, and Br72.5 billion for the Orekhovsky plant through loans. The significant volume of investments for the latter enterprise is due to the fact that the plant plans to acquire two technological lines (for the production of long and short flax fiber), as well as the scale of construction work: the boiler house, production workshops, and raw material warehouses will be reconstructed. The modernization of flax processing plants will lead to an improvement in the quality of flax fiber, an increase in the productivity of primary flax processing equipment by more than two times, a reduction in the costs of processing flax straw, and will ensure stable profitable operation of flax processing organizations. JSC "Vitebskobllen" includes 12 flax processing plants in the region. -0-
