In the Vitebsk region, about 10.7 million rubles will be allocated to support entrepreneurship
As noted by Veronika Zaboluyeva, Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economics Committee, the measures are aimed at stimulating citizens' business initiatives, improving the business environment for the growth of entrepreneurial activity, and enhancing incentives for small and medium-sized businesses to create high-performance, export-oriented, and innovative organizations.
The main part of the financial resources (almost 86%) will be directed towards the development of the entrepreneurship support infrastructure, which will allow for expanding the range of services for businesses and increasing the number of serviced entities. In addition, it is planned to continue the practice of supporting innovative projects implemented by businesses from the budget, as well as to stimulate the participation of the non-state sector of the economy in marketing activities aimed at promoting products and services to new markets and expanding presence in already established territories. Organizational and informational support for the startup movement remains an important area of the state program.
As a result of the implementation of the set of measures, it is expected that by 2025, the share of entrepreneurship in the formation of the regional gross value added indicator will increase to 19.5%, the share of private business in the exports of the Vitebsk region will increase to 30%, and the share of service exports will reach 75.5%. By the end of the five-year period, small and medium-sized businesses will account for 27.9% of the regional revenue from the sale of products, goods, works, and services.
