In the Vitebsk region, 11.9 thousand children will rest in school camps during the winter holidays, the education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
The operation of the camps will be organized from December 25 to January 8. The health improvement period will be at least seven days. The cost of a voucher is Br130.2 thousand, per day - Br18.6 thousand. Approximately Br1.6 billion has been allocated from the Social Security State Fund for health improvement financing.
The rich recreation program for schoolchildren includes many pleasant and useful activities. Thus, taking into account the New Year and Christmas holidays, numerous cultural and entertainment programs, humorous quizzes, contests, intellectual tournaments, and excursions will be organized. At the same time, children will be involved in charity projects organized by the primary organizations of the BRSM.
An integral part of the winter holidays will be outdoor sports games, ski trips, and ice skating. Specifically for this, 39 hockey rinks and 10 ice rinks have been prepared in the regional center alone, including two rinks on Victory Square, one near the Summer Amphitheater, and one at the Central Sports Complex "Dynamo". For outdoor recreation enthusiasts, 12 winter sports equipment rental points are open in the city, and 7 ski trails have been equipped, including those in the park named after the Soviet Army and in the recreation area in the Vitsba floodplain.
