In the Vitebsk region, measures have begun to protect coniferous forests from illegal logging
To this end, until December 31, state forestry employees will conduct raids, and it is also planned to organize more than 50 joint posts with the traffic police. Young fir and pine trees will be under special observation in the pre-holiday period.
– Today, to prevent unauthorized felling of coniferous forest crops, we are also actively using camera traps. The forestry enterprises of the association have more than 150 units. Digital sentinels have repeatedly proven their effectiveness in bringing violators of forest and environmental legislation to justice, – says Vladimir Konkov, Head of the Department for Forest Protection and Security, Hunting and Hunting Tourism of Vitebsk State Forestry Association.
We remind you that today the fine for unauthorized felling can reach 50 basic units.
