In the Vitebsk region, the connection of heating to the housing stock has begun

Phased connection of heat supply to residential buildings has begun in the Vitebsk region, First Deputy Head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Sergey Putilovsky told a BELTA correspondent. "Taking into account the predicted temperature drop in the near future, the operational group of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee decided on October 9 to turn on heating in the region's residential buildings, without waiting for the scheduled deadline," Sergey Putilovsky noted. Heat will come to the homes of residents of the Vitebsk region this week. The connection of heat supply will be carried out in stages over three days. The following week will be occupied by hydraulic adjustment of the systems. Industrial, administrative, and office buildings will be the last to be connected to heat. In the current heating season, 448 heat sources will be operating in the Vitebsk region. All major work on their preparation has been completed. Work is being completed on converting five boiler houses to local types of fuel with mechanized loading at heat sources in the settlement of Babinichi, Orsha district (two boilers with a capacity of 3 MW each are being installed), Liozno (a 2 MW boiler), Beshenkovichi (2 boilers with a total capacity of 5 MW), at the Central boiler house in Borovka, Lepel district (two boilers of 2 MW each), and in Polotsk (two of 3 MW each). The commissioning of a 2 MW cogeneration unit in the settlement of Ruba near Vitebsk is planned for early November. A sufficient volume of fuel has been prepared for the inter-season period, and its reserves are being replenished. -0-
