In the Vitebsk region, 636 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops have been threshed
According to the regional agricultural sales department, 285.1 thousand hectares have been harvested, yielding 636.3 thousand tons at a productivity of 22.3 centners per hectare, with the best indicator in the Orsha district (38.2 centners per hectare).
16.3 thousand hectares (83.8%) of spring rapeseed have been harvested, yielding an average of 14.5 centners per hectare. Threshing of leguminous grass seed crops, as well as cereal crops – buckwheat and millet – is underway. The former has been harvested on an area of 154 hectares (4.2%), the latter on 807 hectares (34.2%).
16.2 thousand tons of flax straw have been procured with an average grade of 1.03.
132 thousand hectares (44%) of soil have been plowed for sowing winter crops for the 2025 harvest. Winter rapeseed occupies slightly more than 60 thousand hectares. Winter grain crops have been sown on an area of 15.9 thousand hectares (6.9%), with a total of 230 thousand hectares allocated for these crops.
9.2 thousand hectares (8.5%) of corn have been harvested, with a green mass yield of 271 centners per hectare. In total, since the beginning of fodder harvesting, there are 16.49 centners of feed units per conventional head of cattle (on the same date in 2023, there were 10.99 centners of feed units).
