Power supply has been disrupted in 286 settlements in the Vitebsk region

July 28, Vitebsk /Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. As a result of a thunderstorm, power supply was disrupted in 286 settlements of the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed a BELTA correspondent. As of 1:00 PM, 36 power lines were damaged, more than 40 farms and over 550 transformer substations were de-energized. In addition, in the village of Voznovo, Verkhnedvinsk district, a bathhouse on a private property burned down as a result of a direct lightning strike. Currently, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is monitoring the situation and taking measures to minimize the consequences of the thunderstorm front's passage in cooperation with all services.-0-
