Vitebsk region names best musicians, actors, and other cultural and art workers

The names of the laureates of the regional award for high achievements in culture and art, traditionally presented for the professional holiday of creative workers, have become known.

The award ceremony took place at the Vitebsk Music College named after I. Solertinsky, where industry representatives gathered to celebrate Culture Day, which was held last Sunday. The ceremony was held as part of the board meeting of the Main Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.

In the nomination "Best Philharmonic Artist," the award was received by cimbalom player Tatyana Movlya. Actor of the Belarusian Puppet Theater Sergey Tolkach was also recognized.

For pedagogical achievements, Olga Valyushkina, deputy director of the Vitebsk Children's Art School, was awarded. The best museum worker was recognized as Marina Kuksenok-Simanovich, a researcher at the Museum of History and Culture of Novopolotsk; club workers – Vladimir Shakutev, methodologist of the Center for Traditional Culture and Folk Art of Gorodok District, and Andrey Chaban, head of the folk pop studio "Kaleidoscope" of the Dokshitsy City Center for Culture.

In the nomination "Best Master of Traditional Crafts," awards were given to Mikhail Bogdanovich, director of the Ushaсhi House of Crafts, and Tatyana Govortsova, a craftswoman at the Dokshitsy District House of Crafts. Among library workers, Oksana Kolyago, head of branch No. 2 of the Podsvil Children's Library of the Glubokoye Centralized Library System, was awarded. And the best organizer of paid services was recognized as Alexander Furs, director of the Miory Centralized Club System.

– With your work, you make the world kinder and brighter, – noted Gennady Egorov, head of the Main Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs, while presenting the awards.

The best representatives of the industry were also awarded with letters of gratitude from the head of the region, certificates of honor from the regional executive committee, and ministries of culture and education.
