154 recreation areas near water bodies have been identified in the Vitebsk region

Specialists have not identified any deviations from standards in the open water bodies of the Vitebsk region. All beach areas, as reported by Vladimir Sinkevich, Chief Physician of the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology, and Public Health, have been inspected by specialists by the start of the swimming season. As a result, 8 orders and 79 recommendations were issued, and two officials were fined.

9 petitions for bringing to disciplinary responsibility have been sent to the business entities responsible for these territories. With the onset of warm days, laboratory control of the quality of water in open water bodies is being carried out in the region. By June 3, employees of the territorial centers for hygiene and epidemiology had already examined over 300 samples, and the situation continues to be monitored. No deviations from standards were found, therefore, no decisions to restrict or prohibit swimming were made as of June 11.
