The best wedding ceremony host will be determined in the Vitebsk region

For the first time in the Vitebsk region, a competition among hosts of solemn ceremonies - employees of registry offices - will be held, the main justice department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee told a BELTA correspondent. Registry offices are invited to nominate their contestants in three categories: the best host for conducting a solemn wedding ceremony, a birth registration ceremony, and an anniversary celebration. As noted in the department, recently there has been a trend towards an increase not only in solemn wedding registrations, but also in the registration of births and the celebration of anniversaries, silver, golden, pearl, platinum, and sometimes calico, rose, and iron weddings. For example, if in 2008, 9615 solemn wedding registrations, 12290 birth registrations, and 261 family anniversaries were held in the region as a whole, then in 2009 - 9793, 12642, and 290, respectively. As a rule, the nominees for the title of the best host of a solemn ceremony will be the winners of district professional skill competitions, which are currently being held throughout the region. Applications for participation will be accepted until April 1. During June, the jury will review the video materials sent to the competition, and on the eve of Belarus Independence Day, the winners will be announced, who will then conduct demonstration ceremonies. As noted in the main justice department, the goal of the competition is to contribute to enhancing the role of the family and improving the quality of services provided by registry offices. The best ceremony scripts will be recommended for use in the work of the departments. -0-
